We are expanding our team !

We are currently looking for reliable self-employed Drivers and Passenger Assistants to work with us on a part time basis accompanying vulnerable passengers to and from their destinations.

Sept 2021 start.

You: Will have same fixed route though the academic year.

Driver Requirements:

  • Over 30 for insurance purposes.
  • To have no endorsements, convictions or points on driving license.
  • Clean criminal record, as an enhanced DBS check will be performed.
  • Taxi license: hackney or private hire.(We can advise obtaining it).
  • Candidates must be of smart and clean appearance and must be able to keep the cars clean and tidy.
  • Candidates must be reliable for Monday to Friday for school runs.
  • Personal car or company car provided (different payrates).
  • Daily 3-5h, am/pm runs, Monday-Friday, School term only.

The Driver will be responsible for:

  • Driving a 5seater/9seater according to specified schedule as directed by the manager.
  • The vehicle and the safety and security of passengers at all times.
  • Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance.
  • Reporting issues of vehicle damage, hazards and risks, cleanliness concern or relevance to the manager.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle whilst in their charge.
  • Adhering to the Highway Code and being personally responsible for
  • any traffic and parking violations whilst in charge of the vehicle.

Passenger Assistant Requirements:

  • Clean criminal record, as a enhanced DBS check will be performed.
  • We are happy to offer full support and training within the role, although if you have previous experience this would be beneficial.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with passengers, families, school staff and the manager.
  • Calm under pressure, resourceful.
  • Able to attend to the needs of passengers.
  • Daily 3-5h, am/pm runs, Monday-Friday, School term only.

The Passenger assistant will be responsible for:

  • The ideal candidate will accompany the vulnerable passengers to and from home to their destination during school term-time.
  • Ensuring that passengers are met by an authorised parent, carer or responsible adult.
  • The passenger assistant will assist passengers where necessary from their homes and destinations to and from the vehicle.
  • The passenger assistant, with assistance from the driver, must ensure that all
  • passengers are sitting safely and comfortably in their designated seats with seat belts before driving off.
